Relay Elementary is fortunate to be a PDS (Professional Development School) involved in collaboration with the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Relay Elementary provides mentor teaching experiences for UMBC interns specializing in education in grades kindergarten through fifth. UMBC provides professional development and higher education opportunities for teachers at Relay Elementary School to expand student performance. Baltimore County Public Schools recognizes the importance of collaboration between schools and institutes of higher education to provide research based teaching and learning.
